Solar System Mobile

This Solar System Mobile by 4M is the larger of our two static (non powered) Solar System mobiles. When assembled, this Solar System mobile measures 75cm in diameter.

The Solar System mobile box includes a full set of plastic planets depicting each of the planets of the Solar System. The planets come in different sizes thus resembling the smaller inner planets and larger gas giant outer planets. Each of the planets are also marked to assist with painting.

Two sets of paint plus a paint brush are supplied so that the planets can be given a realistic look. Or, if you prefer, the planets can be painted with the included glow in the dark paint.

The planets in this solar system mobile are hung via a set of 4 hanging rods, hanging hooks and fishing line, all supplied.

Also included is a giant Solar System wall chart, instructions and fun Solar System facts.

This is a fantastic Solar System mobile and would make a great project for the kids at home, and after it is complete, they can admire their work hanging on the bedroom ceiling.

For primary or pre-primary schools that are doing the planets this term, why not have each student paint one of the 9 planets (including the Sun) using the enclosed Solar System poster as a guide ? With two or three of these Solar system mobiles, the whole class can get involved in creating their very own solar system model with their personalised planet !

Personal Planetarium and Star Projector

The National Geographic personal planetarium and star projector is one of four planetariums sold at the SpaceTime store.

This particular planetarium projects to stars and constellations of the Southern night sky onto any bedroom wall or ceiling. The stars and constellations then slowly rotate depicting the rotation of the Earth. As the stars move across the ceiling, an audio commentary explains the objects that are visible at the current time.

Also included with the personal planetarium is a torch pointing device and a CD containing heaps more space related information.

A black wall is not required for this planetarium to work, simply set up the planetarium in a darkened room. A personal planetarium is a great way to learn to stars and constellations of the southern night sky without having to stand outside in the cold !

Moon in my Room

Moon in My Room is a light up moon with 12 Lunar phases. Moon in My Room is not only educational & fun, but it can also reassure your child when they are alone at night. This authentically detailed lunar moonscape has a built-in light sensor that illuminates the moon when it gets dark & has an automatic or manual function which shows 12 main phases of the moon. When on auto function, the Moon will move through the lunar phases for 15 mins & then shut itself off to preserve battery life.

The moon has a 10 inch diameter & is supplied with a 15min audio CD which provides a guided tour to the moon & beyond. The moon easily hangs on the wall with three different angles & is supplied with an infrared remote control.
